This is where your professional diving career begins. The PADI Divemaster Course will expand your dive knowledge and skills to a superior level whilst you are working closely with our qualified PADI Scuba Instructors to develop leadership skills, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and to assist PADI Instructors with student divers.

The PADI Divemaster Course is your first step into leadership level in the PADI system of diver education. The PADI Divemaster Course is done through an internship program here at Action Divers, where you will be working closely with one of our PADI Instructors to expand your dive knowledge and skills to a superior level. Upon being certified as a PADI Divemaster Internship you will be authorised to:

• Accompany student divers during training dives.
• Supervise both training and non-training related activities by assisting divers and students divers in planning, organizing and directing dives.
• Assist a Teaching status PADI Instructor in the confined water training of divers
• Assist a Teaching status PADI Instructor in the open water training of divers.
• Conduct the PADI Discover local diving experience.
• Conduct the PADI Discover Snorkelling program.
• Teach and certify PADI Skin Divers independently.

Are There Any Prerequisites?

To undertake a Divemaster internship with Action Divers, you must:
Be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent).
Be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent).
Have logged a minimum of 20 open water dives prior to entry into PADI Divemaster training, and a minimum of 60 logged dives are required prior to certification at the end of your course.
Be at least 18 years old.
Be in good physical condition for diving & submit a Fit to Dive Medical form.

How Long Does It Take?

The PADI Divemaster Course here at Action Divers is done through an internship program, the time frame for the course can range anywhere from 2 to 6 months. If you have a shorter time fram eplease call in to discuss your options with us.

How Much Does It Cost?

The complete PADI Divemaster Course will cost $900 per person. You will be required to purchase some PADI books in addition.
